Coming home TODAY is the 2nd 9 weeks progress report J
Please sign and return it tomorrow! With next week being Thanksgiving week and no school the chances of “losing” them during clean up next week.
You will see several different reports –
Moving Forward –
Students will receive a missing assignment sheet (if they have missing assignments) each week on Thursdays for Math, Science and Social Studies. It should be signed and returned attached to the missing assignment by Friday. If it is not returned by Friday it will be entered into the grade book as a 50 and incomplete. This way you can be more aware of missing assignments and help them find them, give them time to complete them and get them turned in. When weeks pass by without assignments being turned in, they often get lost. Hopefully this will eliminate “lost” assignments and wasted paper. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Heads up …
Students will have a test over Matter, Chemical and Physical changes on Friday, December 1st! We will begin our Social Studies unit the following week!
We hope to see many of you tomorrow! If you have volunteered for Gobble, Gobble, Science Day we will see you at 8:45am… if you are coming for lunch we will see you at 11:30 for Mrs. Janney’s homeroom and Mrs. Hellman will see you at 12:30!
We wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! If you are traveling – be safe J
Our canned food drive is currently underway! Please consider donating to this great cause. All of the food collected goes to families in need at our school! The class with the most cans will earn a pizza party! Currently, Mrs. Hellman is beating Mrs. Janney!
Friday, November 17th we will be having "Gobble, Gobble, Turkey Day!" During this fun day students will rotate through 4 stations that cover our science standards for our Physical and Chemical changes unit. In order for this day to be a success we need your help! Please sign up to donate for our super fun day! We will also need volunteers to help run each station.
Please have donations turned in by Wednesday, November 15th!
We are nearing the end of our fundraiser, and we want to thank everyone who has showed their support. Each item sold goes towards providing things for our school that would not be possible without your participation. If you have not had a chance to register online or sell items in-person, there is still time! Your participation makes a difference!

Good Afternoon –
Most (if not all) students have saved their PowerPoints on One Drive! The problem is right now, the only person that has access to the work is whichever student logged in at school and saved it to their One Drive. Many groups still have some finishing touches and wanted to be able to work on it at home tonight so that tomorrow during class time they can “practice” their presentations.
All students should have received their email address to log in to office 365 their password is the same as their computer login at school.
You can access Office 365 log in through www.cobbk12.org under the parents tab…
Students can also log in through their StudentVUE accounts.
If you need help, I’ll be around for a little while this afternoon to help field any questions :)
Today your student was introduced to something NEW!! Weekly Grammar Practice!
Here is how it works:
The purpose of parent-teacher conferences is to have a better understanding between parents and teachers so we may better work together to help your child. Below you will find the link for Mrs. Hellman’s and Mrs. Janney’s conference schedules. If you prefer to meet with both teachers please sign up for the same time on both sign ups. Otherwise, homeroom teachers will conduct your child’s conference.
Parent-teacher conferences are being scheduled after early dismissal from October 16-20, 2017. All elementary students, including kindergarten, will be dismissed two hours early on these days.
Each parent-teacher conference will last for a period of twenty minutes. Please be prompt, as these conferences will be scheduled consecutively. Both parents are urged to come. Unless your child is requested to participate in the conference, you will need to make appropriate arrangements for your child during your scheduled time.
As a reminder, this is the only conference scheduled this year. You are encouraged to request any additional conferences as you see the need.
