The purpose of parent-teacher conferences is to have a better understanding between parents and teachers so we may better work together to help your child. Below you will find the link for Mrs. Hellman’s and Mrs. Janney’s conference schedules. If you prefer to meet with both teachers please sign up for the same time on both sign ups. Otherwise, homeroom teachers will conduct your child’s conference.
Parent-teacher conferences are being scheduled after early dismissal from October 16-20, 2017. All elementary students, including kindergarten, will be dismissed two hours early on these days.
Each parent-teacher conference will last for a period of twenty minutes. Please be prompt, as these conferences will be scheduled consecutively. Both parents are urged to come. Unless your child is requested to participate in the conference, you will need to make appropriate arrangements for your child during your scheduled time.
As a reminder, this is the only conference scheduled this year. You are encouraged to request any additional conferences as you see the need.

We have spent the first three weeks of school specifically outlining the expectations for independent reading. Remember, independent reading is the most critical part of a student’s reading curriculum and where the most growth occurs. For this reason, it is important that students and parents understand the expectations for this part of the reading program. The following expectations have been explicitly taught. You can support your student by checking in with your student daily about their independent reading. Please be aware of the following non-negotiable expectations.
In summary… Students become better readers by READING!!!
